Republic Airways (RJET) Reports Increase in May Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for May 2008. The company generated 898.0 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 21.7% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 21.6% to 1.17 billion. Block hours were 65,149 in May 2008, a 15.9% increase over May 2007. Load factor was 76.8%, which was the same as May 2007. A total of 1,721,732 passengers were carried during the month, a 23.9% increase over the same month last year.
