Republic Airways (RJET) Reports Increase in April Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2008. The company generated 874.4 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 28.1% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 28.5% to 1.15 billion. Block hours were 64,909 in April 2008, a 21.6% increase over April 2007. Load factor was 75.9% versus 76.2% in April 2007. A total of 1,672,144 passengers were carried during the month, a 30.0% increase over the same month last year.
