Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: SWHC) 24% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.07, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenues for the quarter were $70.8 million, versus the consensus of $69.48 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.00, versus the consensus of $0.13. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.40, versus the consensus of $0.52. Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation, through its subsidiary, Smith & Wesson Corp., manufactures handguns in the United States.

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) 18% LOWER; expects revenue to be in the range of $345 million to $350 million for the second quarter of fiscal year 2008. This compares with earlier guidance of $370 million to $380 million provided. Palm sees a loss of $(0.08) to $(0.10) on a non-GAAP basis. The consensus is a $0.04 gain.

Liquidity Services Inc (Nasdaq: LQDT) 13% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.11, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenues for the quarter were $51.7 million,versus the consensus of $50.26 million. The Company expects FY08 EPS to be in the range of $0.53 to $0.55, versus the consensus of $0.44.

Gildan Activewear (NYSE: GIL) 8.5% LOWER; reported Q4 adj-EPS of $0.38, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenues for the quarter were $254.9 million, versus the consensus of $265.77 million. Sees Q1 EPS $0.21, versus the consensus of $0.24. Gildan Activewear, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells activewear for the wholesale imprinted sportswear market in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Gander Mountain Co. (Nasdaq: GMTN) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 loss of $0.25, which may not compare to the consensus of a $0.02 profit. Revenues for the quarter were $259.5 million, versus the consensus of $268.5 million.

Yingli Green Energy (NYSE: YGE) 6% HIGHER; Banc of America Upgrades Yingli Green Energy (YGE) to Buy

Capital One (NYSE: COF) 5% LOWER; Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Downgrade

American Express (NYSE: AXP) 2.2% LOWER; Merrill Lynch downgrades

Activision (Nasdaq: ATVI) 1% HIGHER' Piper Jaffray upgrades Activision from Neutral to Buy with a $31 price target.

Papa John's International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZA) INDICATED HIGHER; reaffirmed 2007 earnings per share guidance at $1.64 to $1.68. The Wall Street consensus is $1.60. Papa John's sees 2008 earnings per share in the range of $1.68 to $1.76. The Wall Street consensus is $1.73. Papa John's also announced that its Board of Directors approved a $50 million increase in the amount of the company’s common stock that may be repurchased from time to time.
