Pre-Open Movers 12/04: America's Car-Mart Soars On Results, H&R Block Sinks As Mortgage Sale Terminated (CRMT, HRB)

America's Car-Mart Inc. (Nasdaq: CRMT) 17% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.29, well above the consensus of $0.16. Revenues rose 14.6% to $68.2 million, versus the consensus of $60.9 million.

Jamba Juice (Nasdaq: JMBA) 15% HIGHER; Nestle USA and Jamba Juice announced their exclusive worldwide licensing agreement to produce and distribute a line of healthy ready-to-drink beverages under the Jamba brand name.

Perfect World (Nasdaq: PWRD) 8% HIGHER; Cramer highlights on Mad Money

Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRMP) 6.9% LOWER; announced that Dale R. Black, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company had resigned from his position with the Company to accept a similar position with another gaming and entertainment company.

AutoZone Inc. (NYSE: AZO) 6.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $2.02, above the consensus of $1.91. Revenues came in at $1.5 billion, versus the consensus of $1.44 billion.

Phillips-Van Heusen (NYSE: PVH) 6.4% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.05, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.03. Revenues for the quarter were $696.4 million, versus the consensus of $705.34 million. The Company expects FY07 EPS in the range of $3.16 to $3.18, versus prior guidance of $3.15 to $3.17, versus the consensus of $3.17. Phillips-Van Heusen also announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a $200 million buyback of the Company's common stock.

H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE: HRB) 6% LOWER; agreed to terminate the purchase agreement entered into in April 2007 under which an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. would have acquired Option One Mortgage Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of H&R Block.

SunOpta Inc. (Nasdaq: STKL) 6% LOWER; announced a public offering by Stephen R. Bronfman, SRB Belvedere Trust and The Charles R. Bronfman Trust of all of their 5,080,532 common shares of SunOpta.

XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: XMSR) 5.9% LOWER; Goldman Sachs downgrades XMSR from Neutral to Sell.

Layne Christensen Co. (Nasdaq: LAYN) 4% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.59, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.57. Revenues for the quarter were $225.2 million, versus the consensus of $221.75 million.

Hologic, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOLX) 3.7% LOWER; announced after the close that it intention to offer to sell $1.3 billion aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2037 pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the SEC.

Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. (Nasdaq: ISLE) 3.4% LOWER; reported a Q2 loss of $0.45, ex-items, versus the consensus of a $0.03 loss. Revenues for the quarter were $278.8 million, versus the consensus of $305 million.

Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LEH) 3% LOWER; Punk Ziegel lowers to Sell

Cost Plus (Nasdaq: CPWM) 2.8% HIGHER; reported a Q3 loss of $0.63, 14 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.77). Revenues for the quarter were $220.6 million, versus the consensus of $216.82 million. Cost Plus expects Q4 EPS of $0.37 to $0.50, versus the estimate of $0.51 and Q4 revenues $377-$389 million, versus the consensus of $390.3 million.

Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC) 2% LOWER; Punk Ziegel lowers to Sell

Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) 1.6% HIGHER; announced that its board of directors authorized $10 billion in repurchases of common stock. Dell will resume the share repurchase program this week.

Focus Media Holding Ltd. (Nasdaq: FMCN) 1.6% HIGHER; Pail starts a Buy, $100 target
