Casey's General Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: CASY) reported August 2007 same-store sales results for stores open for one full year. Same store gasoline gallons sold increased 1.1% in August 2007 compared to August 2006. The gasoline margin was above the Company's fiscal 2008 goal of 10.7 cents per gallon. The average retail price of gasoline sold during August 2007 was $2.73 per gallon. Same-store sales of grocery and other merchandise increased 11.8% and prepared food and fountain same-store sales increased 11.9% in August 2007 compared to August 2006.
