Tween Brands, Inc. (NYSE: TWB) 19.8% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.07 vs. consensus of $0.15. Revenues were $213.7 million vs. $211.87 million consensus. The company also lowered its outlook. As a result of Tween Brands' lower second quarter earnings and revised outlook on the third and fourth quarters, the company expects full-year earnings per diluted share of $1.80 to $1.95 compared to its previous guidance of $2.10 to $2.25. (Consensus is $2.23)
Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI) 13% HIGHER; Reiterates its previous guidance and expects its fiscal 2007 revenues will be in the range of $670 million to $690 million. (Consensus is $683.86 million). The company expects that diluted earnings per share will exceed $0.34, and that adjusted diluted earnings per share after adding back stock-based compensation will exceed $0.51 for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2007. These results are unaudited and are subject to change. (Consensus is $0.28). The Company expects Diluted EPS of approximately $1.25 to $1.55 and Adjusted EPS of approximately $1.39 to $1.69 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008. (Consensus is $1.01)
Blue Coat (Nasdaq: BCSI) 13% HIGHER; reports Q1 earnings of $0.43 per share, 8 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $62.4 million versus the consensus of $58.8 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.43-$0.50, ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.36. Sees Q2 revenues of $67-$70 million versus the consensus of $61.65 million.
Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) 10% HIGHER; reports Q2 earnings of $0.50 per share, 20 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $5.61 billion versus the consensus of $5.3 billion. Sees Q3 revenues of $5.75-$5.90 billion versus the consensus of $5.67 billion.
e-Future Information Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: EFUT) 10% LOWER; First half 2007 revenue rose 21.5% to $2.5 million. Net Income decreased to US -$0.3 million.
MGM Mirage (NYSE: MGM) 9% HIGHER; Dubai World agreed to pay $5 billion for a 9.5% stake in MGM Mirage (NYSE: MGM). Under the deal, Dubai will pay $2.7 billion to acquire its stake in the CityCenter development and will buy 14 million shares from MGM at a prices of $84 per share. Dubai also indicated it could acquire another 14 million shares from shareholders.
TD AMERITRADE (Nasdaq: AMTD) 8.6% HIGHER; Reports from the Wall Street Journal, TD AMERITRADE and E*TRADE Financial are in merger talks.
E*TRADE Financial (Nasdaq: ETFC) 7.6% HIGHER; Reports from the Wall Street Journal, TD AMERITRADE and E*TRADE Financial are in merger talks.
NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX) 6.3% HIGHER; Acknowledges takeover talks. The company said, "The Company has talked to certain parties regarding a potential business combination .... although the Chairman indicated his belief that any transaction would have to be at a meaningful premium to the Company's current share price."

Medtronic Inc. (NYSE: MDT) 1.2% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.62, in-line with estimates. Revenues came in at $3.127 billion versus the consensus of $3.17 billion.
