Pacific Sunwear (PSUN) Reports Decrease in July Same-Store Sales; Reports Quarterly Revenues

Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSUN) reported that total sales for the four weeks of fiscal July ended August 4, 2007 were $111.5 million, a decrease of 2.8% over total sales of $114.7 million during the same four week period ended August 5, 2006. Total Company same-store sales decreased 4.6% during the same period.

By concept, PacSun same-store sales decreased 3.1% and demo same-store sales decreased 20.6% compared to the same four week period last year. Due to the 53rd week in fiscal year 2006, total sales and comparable store sales for fiscal July 2007 are compared to the four-week period ended August 5, 2006.

Total sales for the first 13 weeks of second quarter fiscal 2007 ended August 4, 2007 were $342.2 million, an increase of 5.4% over total sales of $324.5 million during the same 13-week period ended August 5, 2006 last year. (Q2 revenue consensus is $338.37 million)
