Stephens analyst Terry McEvoy raised the price target on Nicolet Bankshares (NYSE: NIC) to $190.00 (from $185.00) while maintaining a Equal Weight rating.
The analyst commented: "Nicolet reported solid 3Q26 results, with op. PPNR surpassing consensus estimates by >3% on the back of a better-than-expected net interest margin. 3Q26 was busy for the company as it completed the core conversion, wealth platform conversion, and divested the Denver branches. We believe the full impact of the cost savings was in the run rate at quarter-end, with 4Q26 set up to be an effectively “clean” quarter. Nicolet has made four acquisitions in the last five years, but in the near term, we believe M&A may be on hold as management works to show the market that the company can produce durable, top decile returns on its ~$15 bil. balance sheet; we remind investors the MidWestOne transaction was announced just one year ago. We believe our forecasted return profile (~1.80% ROA) and history of strong credit quality warrants NIC’s premium valuation. Our updated price target is $190 (from $185). EW-rated."
