Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Deepak Mathivanan lowered the price target on Jumia Technologies (NYSE: JMIA) to $11.00 (from $16.00) while maintaining an Overweight rating.
The analyst commented, "JMIA reported 2Q results with GMV 3% below street while EBITDA came in 15% higher. 2Q GMV growth of +23% y/y (adj. for perimeter) was driven by strength in fashion, beauty, and home, while macro headwinds and supply constraints pressured select categories. On outlook, JMIA widened the FY26E GMV range to +20-30% y/y (vs. 27-32% prior) and guided 3Q GMV at 15-25% y/y, reflecting sustained macro choppiness in select high-value categories in 2H26E. However, the company reiterated its commitment to achieve break even EBITDA / positive cash flow in 4Q. Additionally, JMIA announced a capital raise of $50m (including IFC and Axian), which should build incremental confidence in the company's LT opportunity. Overall, the 2Q print was better than feared amid a highly volatile macro in Africa. As such, our bullish stance on JMIA's LT opportunity in African e-commerce remains unchanged."
