Lucid Capital Markets analyst Alex Nowak initiates coverage on Adagio Medical Holdings (NASDAQ: ADGM) with a Buy rating and a price target of $3.00.
The analyst comments "Underserved $5.8B Market Only 6% Penetrated: Roughly 1.6M patients globally are eligible for ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation annually, yet only ~100K procedures are performed WW. This is because every commercial catheter in use today was designed for atrial fibrillation (AF) and repurposed for the ventricle, driving up to an 11.5% complication rate that suppresses adoption. VT-associated sudden cardiac death accounts for ~300K U.S. deaths each year, and emerging Level 1 evidence from the VANISH-2 and PAUSE-SCD trials (which randomized patients with VT into either catheter ablation or antiarrhythmic drug therapy) is pushing ablation toward first-line therapy. The missing link is an ablation catheter that’s purpose built for VT. ADGM created this product with vCLAS. Combined with market dynamics, the stage is set for AF-like market acceleration off a base growing 5-8% today, with ADGM as the clear victor"
