Jewett-Cameron Trading Company Ltd. (Nasdaq: JCTCF) 23% HIGHER; Sales for the third quarter of 2007 totaled $20.9 million compared to sales of $20.6 million for the third quarter of 2006. The company reported net income of $757 thousand or $.32 per diluted share compared to net income of $561 thousand or $.24 per diluted share in the same period a year ago.

Alcan (NYSE: AL) 10% HIGHER; Rio Tinto (NYSE: RTP) and Alcan reached an agreement for Rio Tinto to make an offer to acquire all of Alcan's outstanding common shares for US$101 per common share in a recommended, all cash transaction. The offer represents a total equity consideration for Alcan of approximately US$38.1 billion.

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO) 6.5% HIGHER; said June comparable store sales increased 8%. Total sales increased 15% to $270.2 million. The company is updating its second quarter earnings guidance to $0.35 to $0.36 per share, compared to $0.31 per share last year. Previous first quarter earnings guidance was $0.34 to $0.36 per share.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings (Nasdaq: ENDP) 5.8% LOWER; is withdrawing guidance pertaining to the anticipated first-half 2008 filing date of its New Drug Application (NDA) for the topical ketoprofen patch, its development product being studied for the treatment of soft-tissue injuries

SBE Inc. (Nasdaq: SBEI) 8% LOWER; gives back some of yesterday's 179% gains following news that merger parter, Neonode, received a considerable order from the operator, Telenor Sweden, for the new Neonode N2.

ImClone Systems (Nasdaq: IMCL) 5.85% LOWER; ImClone and Bristol-Myers (BMY) Announce Results From Phase III study of ERBITUX - Primary Endpoint Not Met

iRobot Corp. (Nasdaq: IRBT) 5.2% HIGHER; Receives U.S. Military Orders Totaling $17.5 Million

Zumiez Inc. (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) 5% HIGHER; said comparable store sales increased 13.7% in June. Total net sales increased 48.8% to $31.5 million.

Resources Connection Inc. (Nasdaq: RECN) 5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.32, $0.40 ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.31. revenues came in at $200.5 million versus the consensus of $198.9 million. The Company's Board of Directors has approved a special cash dividend of $1.25 per share, payable on August 21, 2007 to shareholders of record on August 8, 2007. The Board also has approved a share buyback with an aggregate dollar limit of $150 million.

Huntsman Corp. (NYSE: HUN) 4% LOWER; Basell won't raises its bid for the company.

Abbott (NYSE: ABT) 3.8% LOWER; The company and GE (NYSE: GE) have mutually agreed to terminate their contract for the sale of Abbott's core laboratory and point-of-care diagnostics businesses to GE. The two companies were unable to agree on final terms and conditions of the proposed sale.

Hot Topic, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOTT) 3.4% HIGHER; said June comps fell 4%, versus analysts consensus of a 6.7% drop.

Macy's, Inc. (NYSE: M) 2% LOWER; Macy's, Inc. expects same-store sales in July to be flat to down 3%. Based on sales levels that are lower than originally expected, the company now expects second quarter earnings per diluted share, excluding merger integration costs, to be in the range of 20 to 30 cents, compared to previous guidance of 35 to 45 cents. (Consensus is $0.41)
