Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard reiterated an Overweight rating on Ouster Inc. (NASDAQ: OUST).
The analyst commented, "We remain bullish, and we continue to believe that OUST is best-positioned (fundamentally) in the LiDAR industry (generating more revenue and better margins than its peers). In 4Q OUST reported: a strong 4Q revenue beat of ~$62M, (above our estimate/Visible Alpha consensus of $41.1M/$41.2M), a 4Q25 GAAP Gross Margin Beat of ~60%, (above our estimate/Visible Alpha consensus of ~40%/~36%), and initated 1Q revenue guidance of $45M-$48M, (above our initial estimate of $42.0M). As of 4Q, OUST has shipped >100,000 sensors to date, including >25,000 in FY25 and ~8,100 in the fourth quarter. Additionally, Ouster's OS1 recently became the first high-resolution 3D LiDAR sensor approved by the Department of Defense (DoD) to advance unmanned aerial systems and commercial drone technologies, which we continue to view as a material differentiator and moat, though management has not provided granularity yet. Separately, we remain encouraged after OUST completed the acquisition of StereoLabs, as the consolidated company will now combine LiDAR, cameras, AI compute, sensor fusion, and perception software. Management expects this acquisition to be immediately accretive, and, more importantly, we expect Stereolabs to enable OUST to expand its TAM to customers within the humanoid robotics sector, which we believe is poised for rapid growth in the medium term. We view drones and humanoid robots as two material drivers over the long term."
