BofA Securities Starts Eikon Therapeutics Inc. (EIKN) at Buy

The analyst comments "We initiate on Eikon with a Buy recommendation and a $34 PO. We believe drug developer Eikon’s discovery platform—a proprietary, high-resolution microscope capable of visualizing proteins in living cells—offers an unrivaled ability to generate novel, differentiated drug candidates. Some investors may be reluctant to assign much credit to platforms in biopharma, with some we spoke to admitting uncertainty over what the technology can deliver. Still, we think the market may be overlooking its potential to drive value creation via the ability to produce pipeline candidates for internal development or out-licensing. Together with a late-stage portfolio of cancer treatments offering near-term catalysts and earnings potential, and led by industry veterans, we see a strong case for share upside."
