UBS analyst Dennis Geiger lowered the price target on Dine Brands (NYSE: DIN) to $33.00 (from $35.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented, "4Q results and commentary highlighted lower than expected sales given industry softness in Dec, but a margin & earnings beat, with indications of solid improvement in recent sales trends. Sales and traffic trends improved 1QTD, with momentum supported by value offerings, menu innovation, marketing, and off-premise contributions. Consumer behavior remained consistent through '25, with growth in higher-income guests and stability among other income cohorts. '26 guidance was largely in-line w/ expectations, w/ mgmt continuing to focus on sales improvement and unit development, specifically on dual brand unit development which typically generates 1.5-2.5x the volume of single-branded locations. We are encouraged by the improving sales and development trends, but look for continued visibility into improved sss and unit growth in a difficult environment as catalysts for upside."
