Mizuho analyst Anthony Crowdell raised the price target on Alliant Energy (NASDAQ: LNT) to $73.00 (from $70.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented: "LNT reported 2025 EPS of $3.22 vs Street estimates of $3.21. The main drivers of earnings were higher revenue requirements as a result of increasing rate base and favorable weather, offset by greater O&M and generation development costs. LNT affirmed their 2026 EPS guidance range of $3.36-$3.46 and their long-term EPS CAGR of 5%-7%+. The company is projecting to be at or above the high end of guidance in 2027-2029. LNT has 3GW in their current plan and construction has started on 3 of the 4 projects that have a signed ESA. Recently, LNT had an ESA signed for a second QTS project in Iowa. Further upside can be anticipated from 2GW-4GW of additional load in active negotiations. On the regulatory front, LNT has several active dockets this year and governor elections in both jurisdictions. We maintain our Neutral rating on valuation, and increase our price target to $73."
