Citizens analyst Matthew Carletti raised the price target on Hamilton Insurance Group (NYSE: HG) to $35.00 (from $32.00) while maintaining a Market Outperform rating.

The analyst commented, "Hamilton is well positioned to benefit from prevailing hard market conditions in both specialty insurance and reinsurance. Specialty insurance lines represent a significant portion of Hamilton's business at ~52%, with reinsurance a slightly smaller exposure at ~48% of the book. Specialty market conditions for insurers have broadly been described as the "best in decades," "best in a lifetime," and a "generational hard market." We see the tailwinds in many specialty lines persisting and believe Hamilton is well positioned to take share. Reinsurance is likewise enjoying some of the best market conditions we have seen in a long time – even considering recent softening in property lines – and Hamilton is actively taking advantage of its strong existing relationships, alongside improved pricing, terms & conditions to selectively lean into the market at the right time. In softer market years, management did a good job of maintaining relationships but reducing line sizes, which created the opportunity currently to increase those line sizes into a much better market environment, and when additional capacity is being sought by its clients. Add to this a recent upgrade to "A" by A.M. Best, which we believe has had and will continue to have a favorable impact on growth."
