Piper Sandler analyst Justin Crowley raised the price target on BCB Bancorp (NASDAQ: BCBP) to $9.00 (from $8.50) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented: "2025 was a bumpy road for BCBP in terms of headwinds faced on the credit side, and the year ended with the company posting a large net loss ($12.5M versus full-year loss of $14.5M), driven by a large OREO writedown that was pre-disclosed ahead of earnings. Outside of that NCOs held at an elevated level (~2.3%), but even controlling for that, nonaccruals/classified loans still declined L/Q which was a positive as BCBP continues to address asset quality challenges. We do get the sense that we are in the later innings of the company's credit clean-up, but we are still cautious on the outlook as we think there remains some leg work to return classifed/nonaccrual levels to a more normalized state. We are raising our PT to $9, which assumes the stock roughly holds its current valuation (increase due to improved earnings forecast and so better TBVPS trajectory in our model)."
