Benchmark analyst Todd Brooks reiterated a Buy rating and $130.00 price target on J&J Snack Foods (NASDAQ: JJSF).
The analyst commented, "Prior to the open on February 3rd, J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) reported F1Q26 operating results that saw greater than anticipated impact from Project Apollo transformation efforts and Bakery segment rationalization work, amidst the background of a muted consumer environment. Revenues of $344M were below consensus of $360M as management was able to proceed more quickly with the consolidation of three facilities into the remaining production base, while the company also jettisoned profitless commodity bakery revenues more quickly than we anticipated. Gross profit of $96M was $2M better than our $94M expectation reflecting the profitless nature of the bakery revenues that JJSF shed. AEPS and AEBITDA were $0.33 and $28M (we have adjusted for the $1M in product disposal costs due to the facility consolidation) vs. consensus estimates of $0.36 and $28M, respectively. We are maintaining our Buy rating and $130 PT on JJSF shares as our confidence continues to build that the management team is aggressively repositioning the margin and profitability profile of the company in FY26, to the benefit of FY27 and beyond."
