Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analyst Woody Lay raised the price target on BankUnited (NYSE: BKU) to $55.00 (from $42.00) while maintaining a Market Perform rating.
The analyst commented: "4Q25 earnings were a strong revenue-driven beat (NII/fees) with attractive loan growth, NIBD growth (6% LQ-unannualized), and higher buybacks. BKU gave formalized 2026 guidance implying significant PPNR upside to KBWe/Street estimates, primarily on NII. The above and beyond 2026 guide pushed the shares up 8.5% on the day outperforming the KRX by ~390 bps. We are increasing our '26E to $4.25 (+16%) and our '27E to $4.60 (+21%). With the higher EPS forecast we are raising our price target to $55. Rating remains Market Perform with the stock trading at 11.9x '26E and 1.26x TBV."
