Stifel analyst J. Bruce Chan lowered the price target on Knight Transportation (NYSE: KNX) to $61.00 (from $63.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst comments "Knight reported 4Q25 adj. EPS of $0.31, short of our $0.37 estimate, Consensus of $0.35, and the guidance range of $0.34 to $0.40. This wasn't the print we were looking for, but the bulk of the miss came from the deleveraging effect of soft demand in most segments—not significantly worse than modeled, in our view, but enough to drive this cumulative shortfall. The company is seeing positive traction on rates early in the bid cycle as potential supply tightening concerns build with customers. Demand is still soft, but marginally better YTD than the 2025 finish, and while load tenders are depressed, tender rejections are elevated. The company issued 1Q26 EPS guidance of $0.28 to $0.32, which is consistent with pre-print consensus at $0.31."
