Raymond James analyst Michael Rose reiterated an Outperform rating and $75.00 price target on Red River Banchsares (NASDAQ: RRBI).
The analyst comments "Bottom line: Recall in the 3Q25 earnings call we had with management following earnings, they noted they would remain opportunistic regarding future buybacks so long as the share price is attractive. Additionally, we note that consensus currently projects ~$6.9 million shares repurchased from 4Q25 to YE 2027, notably lower than the new authorization. As such, we aren’t surprised to such a relatively small authorization given its unattractive earnback of 3.5 years on repurchases (versus the peer average/median of 1.1/2.7 years). Further we note that the new authorization represents only 2.0% of shares outstanding based on the December 18 closing price where, if it were to exhaust the entire program in 2026, our 2027 EPS estimate would increase by $0.02 or ~0.3%, to $6.77, all else equal. Finally, we note that while management stated it maintains a list of potential target banks regarding future M&A, it does plan to continue future repurchases."
