H.C. Wainwright analyst Sean Lee raised the price target on Kazia Therapeutics (NASDAQ: KZIA) to $18.00 (from $13.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst commented: "On December 10, Kazia Therapeutics presented updated results from its Phase 1 study of paxalisib for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) at the 2025 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABC). The key finding was a 76% tumor volume shrinkage in the first patient treated in the study, an update from the 50% reduction seen in July. Furthermore, the company also presented preclinical findings that show that paxalisib is able to disrupt large metastatic Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) clusters in both TNBC and HER2-positive patient samples, with ex-vivo studies showing a 78% reduction in CTC clusters derived from HER2+ patients. In our view, these results suggest that paxalisib could be used as an immuno-oncology enabler by reducing the metastatic burden and reinvigorating the antitumor immune response and provide a crucial new strategic direction for the drug following mixed results in the prior glioblastoma program. Based on these positive updates, we are raising our 12-month price target to $18.00 per ADS, up from $13.00."
