Jefferies analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith lowered the price target on Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) to $126.00 (from $138.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst comments "DUK's $95-105bn 2026-2030 capex range and NC rate cases position shares for back-end weighted EPS growth, but near-term regulatory and affordability headwinds temper enthusiasm. Maintain HOLD with $126.00 PT (~11.9% TSR) as we believe shares largely already embed our 6.9% EPS CAGR through 2030. We see 2026 regulatory milestones as the key unlocks for multiple expansion. The earnings inflection hinges on 2028+ load materialization and constructive NC outcomes."
