UBS analyst Dan Leonard raised the price target on Agilent (NYSE: A) to $180.00 (from $170.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst commented, "Our Buy rating on Agilent (A) reflects our view that various drivers - such as recent instrument launches, improving demand in China, and its Nucleic Acid Solutions Division (NASD) - will sustain long-term growth. Q4 results support our thesis...Core organic revenue growth of ~7.2% beat ~5% UBSe and exceeded Agilent's guidance. The beat was driven by ~10.7% Life Sciences and Diagnostic Markets (LDG) growth, which far exceeded ~5% UBSe. Crosslab (ACG) growth of ~5.9% slightly exceeded ~5% UBSe and Applied Markets (AMG) growth of ~3.3% slightly underperformed ~5% UBSe."
