RBC Capital analyst Luca Issi raised the price target on Arrowhead Pharma (NASDAQ: ARWR) to $52.00 (from $45.00) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
The analyst commented: "Redemplo Approved And Priced Aggressively; The FDA approved plozasiran (Redemplo) for familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS). This is a key milestone for the organization as it marks the very first FDA approved drug for ARWR. The label was relatively uncontroversial and generally in line with IONS (ARWR has no contraindications, no platelet language and no hypersensitivity while IONS has no A1c in the AE section, offers two doses and is an auto-injector). Most importantly, while IONS has previously commented that they were planning to price the drug at $10-20k for sHTG, ARWR is pricing their drug at $60k (we would not be surprised to see IONS ultimately aligning with that pricing strategy). Filing in EU is under review (we are under the impression that ARWR may be looking for a partner) and pivotal data for sHTG remains on track for 3Q26 (SHASTA-3/4). Overall, while approval was largely anticipated (as per our KOL call), we like solid execution and a company that is poised to successfully transition to a commercial organization. PT to $52 from $45 to reflect drug approval."
