Mizuho analyst Paul Fremont raised the price target on Eversource Energy (NYSE: ES) to $81.00 (from $72.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst commented: "Since the summer, developments with Eversource (ES) have paved the way for a stronger balance sheet and a more favorable regulatory environment. We have gained greater clarity on the Revolution Wind project, the sale of the Aquarion water utility business, and the appointment of new commissioners in Connecticut. Improving their balance sheet through increased liquidity and strengthening their credit metrics have been at the forefront for ES. These factors collectively provide ES with a clear path to narrow their P/E discount versus the current ~19%. We are fine-tuning our 2025-27 EPS estimates to $4.72, $4.95, and $5.21, respectively. We reaffirm our Outperform rating and update our price target to $81."
