UBS analyst Josh Silverstein lowered the price target on Coterra Energy (NYSE: CTRA) to $29.00 (from $30.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.

The analyst commented, "We reiterate our Buy Rating on CTRA heading into 3Q25 results. After a challenging operational 1H25, we look for oil volume improvements in 2H25 to keep CTRA on track for its FY25 guide. We see both oil and total volumes trending towards the high end of the guidance for 3Q25. Looking out, 4Q25 implies ~10% Q/Q oil growth, with high working interest development supporting the growth. Additionally, we expect CTRA will take out the $650mm remaining on the term loan in 2H25, before ramping its buyback program back up into 2026."
