BMO Capital analyst Benjamin Mayhew lowered the price target on Cal-Maine Foods (NASDAQ: CALM) to $97.00 (from $105.00) while maintaining a Market Perform rating.
The analyst commented: "CALM F1Q26 EPS of $4.12 missed consensus of $5.01 reflecting lower conventional shell egg pricing as industry supplies quickly recover from impacts of HPAI outbreaks. Newly acquired Echo Lake Foods contributed $70.5mm to F1Q26 revenue and is tracking ahead of expectations. CALM does not provide guidance, but offered context to its longer-term growth strategy, which is focused on investing in prepared foods and premium egg capabilities supported by its strong balance sheet. We lower our F2026 EPS on weaker near-term pricing outlook. Reiterate Market Perform and reduce target to $97."
