Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Richard Anderson initiates coverage on Omega Healthcare Investors (NYSE: OHI) with a Overweight rating and a price target of $50.00.
The analyst comments: "We rate OHI Overweight based on a $50 price target (19.5% upside from current levels), which assumes a 2026E AFFO multiple of 16.8x (versus a 19.0x average for the REIT industry). Known for its capital allocation acumen, OHI is our choice in the Skilled Nursing category given a balance between valuation upside and spread investing opportunities. In addition, a catalyst may come out of its growing exposure to senior housing, as Maplewood (OHI's third-largest operator with exposure at 6.4% of the total) is steadily growing its rent payments to OHI and, assuming its ultra-high-end Inspir facility in Manhattan continues to make slow but steady improvements, there may be another $15-$20mm of annualized NOI coming out of Maplewood alone. Meanwhile, LaVie (out of bankruptcy) and Genesis (in bankruptcy) look like winners for OHI."
