Texas Capital Securities analyst Eric Wold upgraded Brunswick Corp (NYSE: BC) from Hold to Buy with a price target of $80.00 (from $55.00).
The analyst comments: "As the "arms dealer" to the recreational marine industry, we have been confident in the company’s position to benefit from a recovery in consumer demand, and restart in OEM boat production, but were cautious until there were more concrete signs of a recovery and/ or more attractive entry point for the shares. While we have been watching BC shares move almost consistently higher since we launched coverage in mid-April (see here), we believe the combination of record low channel inventories for the company’s boat brands, increasing potential for interest rate cuts in the coming months, and tariff pressures on the company’s engine competitors sets the stage for strengthening financial results in 2026/2027. Along with our estimates being above consensus levels, we expect the strengthening financial trends to result in higher valuation multiples that are more in-line with pre-pandemic averages."
