Piper Sandler analyst Michael Lavery reiterated an Overweight rating and $60.00 price target on General Mills (NYSE: GIS).
The analyst commented: "Focus On Innovation To Return To Growth; We hosted Kofi Bruce, CFO, and gained incremental color on the importance of innovation to get packaged food back to growth. It is a key focus for GIS in F26, which it expects to step-up broadly across its portfolio. However, innovation only works if the correct price points are in place, which is another key area of investment and focus for GIS, with price resets underway. Any price resets should be done by the end of F26, setting up F27 for volume stability or modest growth. We also gained incremental color on Blue Buffalo's fresh pet food distribution, category positioning and marketing messaging. It is focused on light users and ex-Blue Buffalo consumers; scale is critical to reach GIS-level margins over time."
