BofA Securities Downgrades Centrus Energy Corp. (LEU) to Neutral, 'stock appears fairly valued'

BofA Securities analyst Lawson Winder downgraded Centrus Energy Corp. (NYSE: LEU) from Buy to Neutral with a price target of $285.00 (from $210.00).

The analyst comments "Centrus Energy reported a Q2’25 earnings beat vs. BofAe and consensus expectations. Versus BofAe, the beat was mainly driven by stronger performance of the low-enriched uranium (LEU) segment, a function of the timing of sales and a favorable contract mix. During Q2’25, Centrus completed phase 2 of its high-assay LEU (HALEU) contract with the US Department of Energy (DOE), and initiated a portion of phase 3, and also strengthened the balance sheet via its at-the-market (ATM) equity program. Looking ahead, Centrus remains well positioned to construct its own US domestic productive LEU capacity, with US government funding support, likely. Based on the strong Q2’25 results and an increase in our price objective to net asset value (P/NAV) multiple to 2.5x from 2.0x (to account for what we see as increasing US government urgency to build-out domestic enrichment), we raise our price objective (PO) to $285 (from $210) per share. However, we reduce our rating from Buy to Neutral as we see the shares now fairly valued."
