Equity Residential (EQR) Tops Q2 EPS by 17c; offers guidance

Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR) reported Q2 EPS of $0.50, $0.17 better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter came in at $768.83 million versus the consensus estimate of $769.92 million.

GUIDANCE:

Equity Residential sees Q3 2025 EPS of $0.78-$0.82, versus the consensus of $0.31.

The difference between the second quarter of 2025 actual EPS of $0.50 and the third quarter of 2025 EPS guidance midpoint of $0.80 is due primarily to higher expected property sale gains and other items.
