RBC Capital analyst Daniel Perlin lowered the price target on Western Union Co. (NYSE: WU) to $9.00 (from $13.00) while maintaining a Sector Perform rating.
The analyst commented: "Immigration policies weigh on transaction growth; WU missed expectations on revenue and Adj. EPS, due to headwinds in the US, stemming from the immigration policies currently impacting transactions from the US into LATAM, which calls into question the outlook on CMT’s growth. Offsetting the CMT weakness is strength in Consumer Services, supported by inorganic contribution from eurochange and favorable European travel. We see the macro environment and guidance reduction as weighing on the shares, likely until proof-points of improvement are shown."
