UBS analyst Jay Sole raised the price target on Wolverine World Wide (NYSE: WWW) to $30.00 (from $22.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst commented, "We think WWW had a strong Q2, led by Saucony's momentum and solid Merrell trends. We thus forecast a 4c Q2 EPS beat. Importantly, we expect for WWW to only provide Q3 guidance given ongoing tariff uncertainty (link). Our base case is WWW delivers in-line Q3 outlook, but we see several potential scenarios. The upside risk is a big Q2 EPS beat and above-consensus Q3 guide positively drive WWW's stock. The downside risk is incremental tariffs and management conservatism result in weak Q3 guide, pressuring WWW's P/E. The options market is pricing a +/-10.4% jump over earnings vs. a 7.6% historical avg. move. We think the event has potential for above avg. volatility."
