Stifel analyst Matthew Smith raised the price target on Lamb Weston (NYSE: LW) to $61.00 (from $56.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst commented, "Lamb Weston reported a stronger fourth quarter including EBITDA and North America volume growth ahead of our expectations. Adjusted overall EBITDA of $285 million was $33 million ahead of our estimate and volume was up 4% in North America versus our expectation for a modest decline. Initial FY26 guidance was below consensus but the expected price/mix trajectory is encouraging and a new cost savings program targeting $250 million in savings through FY28 supports greater confidence in margin improvement in FY27. The company’s assessment of the business is complete, with next steps including a strategic review for non-core assets, executing cost savings, and investing to support improved commercial capabilities. We are lowering our FY26 estimates but view the volume momentum and price/mix trajectory in North America favorably. We continue with our Hold rating and raise our target price to $61."
