JPMorgan analyst Bill Peterson downgraded Enovix Corporation (NASDAQ: ENVX) from Overweight to Neutral with a price target of $12.00 (from $9.00).

The analyst comments: "We are downgrading ENVX to Neutral and establishing a $12 Dec-26 PT (vs. prior $9 Dec-25 PT), implying 18% downside from current levels after a period of outperformance (+91% since Liberation Day) as we think high chances of success are already priced into the stock and current valuation appears rich. We see ENVX as being a beneficiary of the recent risk-on environment coupled with capital allocation decision announcements that potentially signal readiness to begin investing in Line 2. Our rating change does not reflect diminished confidence in Enovix’s prospects, but rather what we think is pragmatism as the stock has overshot what we expect earnings potential will realistically look like over the next 2-3 years. Moreover, we still model Enovix reaching 4 lines’ worth of capacity at Fab-2 by 2028, a scenario that some bearish institutional investors may already think is overly ambitious, as we give the management team credit for what implies several multi-million unit customer contracts in-hand. We continue to like Enovix’s technology differentiation and platform, steps to de-risk manufacturing, and strong likelihood of gaining commercial traction in a market seeking better batteries despite facing strong competition from incumbents."
