UBS analyst Jay Sole lowered the price target on Deckers Outdoor (NYSE: DECK) to $144.00 (from $169.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst commented, "The market is focused on DECK’s Hoka brand and its US DTC channel sales growth trend. Our conversations with investors suggest they believe trends in this area are lackluster and we doubt DECK's 1Q report will change this view. This is a main reason we see a balanced upside/downside skew over the event. Another reason is tariff-related uncertainty. This creates a wide range of scenarios around what type of guidance DECK may give, making it harder to have a strong call on the quarter, in our view. While the stock price looks low, we don’t believe it implies “bad news” is already fully priced in. The options market is pricing in a +/- 12.0% jump vs. a 7.6% historical average move. We see a wide range of potential vol outcomes."
