Citi analyst Filippo Falorni raised the price target on Newell Brands Inc (NASDAQ: NWL) to $6.00 (from $5.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst comments "We expect another soft quarter at NWL with 2Q’25 core sales -2.9%, with the company’s (3-5%) guidance range. U.S. scanner data has improved sequentially vs. 1Q’25, but remains weak on a Y/Y basis and at a conference presentation in June, NWL indicated there has been no change in category consumption patterns relative to when it lowered guidance at the end of April. We anticipate 2Q’25 EPS of $0.23 compared to guidance $0.21-0.24, reflecting continued GM% expansion driven by further productivity savings, two rounds of 10% pricing on Baby Gear in the quarter, and a minimal headwind from China tariffs."
