Bernstein SocGen Group analyst Ian Moore reiterated an Outperform rating and $32.00 price target on Warner Music Group (NASDAQ: WMG).
The analyst commented: "WMG is ready for the superfan era; We believe that today’s announcements (a $1.2B JV with Bain Capital for incremental catalog purchasing power and ~$300M in incremental annual cost savings) significantly strengthen WMG’s position in both recording & publishing and solidify what we already viewed as an attractive FY2026 earnings growth algorithm (Exhibit 1). In the wake of the Tempo acquisition, we see the JV as a powerful testament to WMG’s commitment to (1) maintaining a disciplined M&A strategy, (2) increasing market share both organically and inorganically, and (3) optimizing the entire portfolio around high-quality IP."
