Deutsche Bank analyst Matthew Niknam raised the price target on CommScope Holding (NASDAQ: COMM) to $7.50 (from $6.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst comments "We are adding CommScope (COMM) shares to our Catalyst Call Buy list, with two key points (healthy fundamentals and potential M&A) underpinning our more constructive near-term view We believe business fundamentals remain strong across each of COMM's segments, with recent data points re-affirming this view. Collectively, we believe COMM is likely to trend towards the upper end of its 2025E outlook for Core Adj. EBITDA (DBe: $1.05bn, vs. guidance for $1.00-1.05bn). We see core revenue growth remaining strong in the +20% yoy range in upcoming periods, with COMM's Core Adj. EBITDA likely trending towards the upper end of its annual guidance range (DBe: $1.05bn, vs. guidance for between $1.00-$1.05bn). M&A upside potential: recent press reports from Bloomberg and others suggesting COMM is exploring a sale of its CCS segment (its largest unit at ~2/3 of sales), as well as other alternatives (including a potential sale of the entire company, per Bloomberg)."
