UBS analyst Josh Silverstein reiterated a Buy rating and $135.00 price target on EOG Resources (NYSE: EOG).
The analyst commented, "EOG announced the $5.6Bn acquisition of Encino Acquisition Partners, significantly increasing its footprint in the Utica Shale. EOG has been accelerating its activity in the Utica over the past two years and, with the Encino acquisition, this now puts the basin into a core position alongside the Delaware and Eagle Ford. Given the all-cash transaction, it should be accretive to all per-share metrics, and cost/capex synergies further support the acquisition. EOG goes from a $1.9Bn Net Cash position at 1Q25 to $4Bn of Net Debt post close; however, Net Debt/EBITDA still remains well below 1.0x at strip."
