Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Sarah James reiterated a Neutral rating and $40.00 price target on Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ: ACHC).
The analyst commented, "We are maintaining our $40 price target, which represents a 7.6x EV/EBITDA multiple on our 2026 Adj. EBITDA estimate of $763M, and reflects our uncertainty of when volumes will recover. This is a 34% discount to its historical five-year average, a 1% discount to peer UHS (N), and an 18% discount to the broader provider group high, given its exposure to inpatient psych. The company-listed growth pathways are facility expansion, de novo expansion, JV expansion, M&A, and continuum of care. Risks to our price target include labor cost inflation, achieving a positive spread of pricing to cost inflation, ability to continue heightened growth via expansions, JVs, and M&A that are significantly above historical levels, and the company's ability to grow market share in this highly competitive CTC market."
