Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Deepak Mathivanan raised the price target on Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) to $171.00 (from $159.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.

The analyst comments: "GOOGL reported 1Q results with revenues and EBIT above Street (Visible Alpha) estimates by 1% and 7%, respectively. Search and YT both grew +10% y/y (~12% y/y ex-FX) despite growing macro fears, while Cloud decelerated slightly. EBIT margins expanded by ~200bps y/y, driven by moderated compensation growth. GOOGL did not provide any commentary on 2Q25E, but we found the company’s tone on recent trends 'less intimidating'. On the product front, GOOGL is seeing healthy adoption of AI in its core search, advertising, and cloud businesses. Overall, 1Q results should be viewed as an encouraging signal, but shares are unlikely to break out while macro noise persists. We have revised our FY26E top-line and EPS higher by 4% and 7%, respectively. Our revised 12-month PT is $171 based on 16x FY26E P/E (vs. $159 previously)."
