Barclays analyst Peter Lawson reiterated an Overweight rating and $63.00 price target on Spring Works Therapeutics (NASDAQ: SWTX).
The analyst comments "SpringWorks' Ogsiveo was included on today's CHMP agenda (meeting at 10am ET today). Meeting could lead to a positive opinion for Ogsiveo and enable EU approval, which could be an important de-risker for potential acquisition of the company by Merck KGaA. The April CHMP (Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use) is out this morning (link). Importantly, SpringWorks' Ogsiveo for desmoid tumors is included here with a meeting taking place today 4/22 at 16:00 (i.e., 10am ET). This meeting could lead to a positive opinion on Ogsiveo, which could enable EU regulatory approval. • EU approval could be a key catalyst for completion of a potential acquisition of SpringWorks by Merck KGaA. On 10 Feb 2025, Merck KGaA (covered by Emily Field) indicated via press release (link) that "critical conditions have yet to be met" for a transaction to materialize."
