Raymond James analyst Michael Rose lowered the price target on U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) to $51.00 (from $57.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst comments "We reiterate our Outperform rating on shares of USB following its release of 1Q results. The quarter was highlighted by an impressive revenue beat and controlled operating expenses, leading to impressive positive operating leverage. Furthermore, we are pleased to see the bank maintain its revenue and positive operating leverage guide for 2025 despite the increasing levels of uncertainty. To sum, our thesis remains intact, we believe USB is well-positioned to improve its operating leverage and produce superior profitability metrics."
