H.C. Wainwright analyst Andrew S. Fein lowered the price target on Acumen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABOS) to $11.00 (from $15.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.

The analyst commented: "Completion of enrollment of ALTITUDE AD indicates an overall enthusiasm for a differentiated anti Abeta immunotherapy despite the availability of two drugs in the market. However, as we wait for the topline data which might be disclosed around the end of 2026, the AD therapeutic landscape might see approval of plasma biomarkers sometime this year, new data coming from ongoing AD clinical trials involving anti-Abeta antibodies, especially those conjugated to transport vehicles or brain shuttles and more importantly we might get to see the adoption of the two approved drugs namely lecanemab and donanemab. All these might help define what kind of differentiated profile sabirnetug might need to have a dominant place in the next generation AD therapeutic landscape. Given the sabirnetug’s focus in targeting only oligomeric Abeta, which undoubtedly remains the most important toxic Abeta species in the brain driving one aspect of the pathology, we think an outcome that differentiates either in efficacy or in safety or in both might be encouraging. Additionally, company has recently completed the healthy volunteer study for the subQ formulation of sabirnetug and given the exposure level and the decent safety profile (although the subQ does have a very high proportion of mild injection site reaction of around 62.5%), allows the company to run a separate trial eventually to have the option open which is important for the eventual adoption of the drug, if approved. Finally, we reevaluated our opex assumption going forward, which reduces our price target to $11 from $15."
