Stifel Reiterates Buy Rating on Kalvista Pharmaceuticals Inc (KALV)

Stifel analyst Paul Matteis reiterated a Buy rating and $39.00 price target on Kalvista Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: KALV).

The analyst commented, “KALV's Investor Day event highlighted the enduring unmet need and commercial opportunity for an efficacious oral, on-demand treatment for HAE attacks such as sebetralstat--in addition to further details on launch prep and kinetics prior to their June PDUFA date. For the stock, the robust efficacy and clean safety profile demonstrated in ph3 (along with lack of an AdComm) effectively de-risks approval in our view, and the Street debate is centered on the size of the market opportunity for on-demand HAE treatments in the backdrop of increasingly efficacious prophy treatment options entering the market. We believe several pieces of evidence highlighted today support a real commercial opportunity here (stable on-demand scripts, highly-favorable KOL feedback, prevalence of breakthrough-attacks for pts on prophy), and there's real potential for sebetralstat to grow the acute market. We've updated our model for F3Q and made modest changes to sebetralstat 2026 estimates; reiterate Buy, TP remains $39.”
