Raymond James analyst Stephen Laws reiterated a Strong Buy rating and $9.50 price target on Redwood Trust (NYSE: RWT).
The analyst comments "We are updating our estimates and maintaining our Strong Buy on Redwood Trust (RWT) after reviewing the 4Q results and Form 10-K. While we are trimming our 2025 estimates largely due to lower non-interest income assumptions, we expect strong origination volumes and attractive gain on sale margins to drive continued EAD growth. Additionally, if interest rates decrease, we expect this to be a tailwind for the business. Our rating reflects the opportunity in residential consumer lending given banks that previously competed with RWT are now becoming partners, our outlook for book value growth, and the attractive valuation. We are maintaining our target of $9.50 per share."
