TD Cowen analyst Andrew Charles raised the price target on Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM) to $164.00 (from $151.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst commented: "We attended Taco Bell Investor Day & Live Mas Event. Yum shared long-term plans to reach $3M sales volumes in 2030 from $2.2M in 2024, while roughly doubling the segment's ~ $1B EBIT by 2030. The brand approaches growth ambitions from a position of strength by disclosing 8% 1Q25 SSS in a treacherous industry backdrop relative to our 6% & 5% consensus. Fine-tuning 2025-26E EPS & raise PT to $164.
We continue to highlight proprietary survey data that indicates Taco Bell's value perception outperformance vs quick service peers as demonstrable success with the brand's value efforts. We interpret the narrowing outperformance that value efforts are a piece of the brand's traffic driving strategy rather than the primary strategy, as the remainder of quick service enters year 2 of the industry value blitz."
